Helpful is a small WordPress plugin that allows you to ask your visitors questions. Instead of complex surveys, you can expect a simple question with two possible answers.
By default, it asks if the post was helpful. Users can then choose Yes or No. The plugin then ejects a text or optionally a feedback form. The text can be customized and the form can be activated if desired.
Here you can find out now:
- How to install and activate the plugin
- How to configure the plugin
- How to reset the plugin or individual posts
To install Helpful, go to your WordPress admin and click on Plugins. There you click now on add. Here you search for Helpful, the first entry should already be Helpful. When you have found Helpful, click on Install now. Once you have installed Helpful, click Activate.
If this doesn’t work for some reason, you can also install Helpful manually. To do this, first download the file here. Once you have done this, click on Plugins again in your WordPress admin and then on Add.
Here you can now click on Upload Plugin above. There you select the downloaded ZIP file and upload it. Once you have done this, you can activate Helpful.
To configure the plugin click Helpful in the WordPress Admin. Here you find all settings for the Plugin.
Fill in the texts, select some other options and change the design. Note that if you reset the plugin under System, the settings are not affected, but everything else is. All polls will be deleted and this cannot be undone.
To reset individual posts, you must first activate the meta box in the settings. Once you have done this, you can then reset the current post in the individual posts.
